Education

I have a bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in human development and family studies. During my time as an undergraduate, I loved learning about relationships and their impact on a person’s quality of life. My interest in mental health and relationships led me to pursue my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy, also at Utah State University. I will graduate as an MFT in 2025. I am also certified as a Gottman Level 1 clinician.

Experience

In my clinical experience, I have worked with individuals and couples with a wide range of presenting problems. Some of which include anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship issues, self-esteem, and life transitions. I want to help people of all walks of life to face their unique challenges. I love working with clients of all ages, with an extra soft spot for helping teens.

Research & Writing

In addition to my clinical work, I have participated in academic research as part of my university studies. My research has focused on several topics, including social support in the context of a relationship (partner support), attachment styles, and adolescent peer relations and self-worth regarding their families. My master’s research and thesis explores the connection between relationships and mental health.

On a more personal note…

I decided to become a therapist because I love being a part of someone’s healing process and helping them to become who they want to be. Growing up, I was able to experience both the beautiful and hurtful effects of relationships. As a marriage and family therapist one of my goals is to help people mend broken relationships and find the joy that can be found in building healthy relationships.

I am married to the most patient husband who truly is my favorite person. We love to watch shows and to paint, although neither of us are any good! We also love games and hanging out with friends and family. In my free time I love to craft and scrapbook and practice yoga.
